Digging Deeper
For January’s Blog the Change, Karen at DoggieStylish questioned the impact we can make by blogging about animal causes. She was frustrated by her efforts to educate people about puppy mills, only to have them proceed with their ill-conceived plans to purchase a pet store puppy. Her post motivated Mel at No Dog about It to drop what she was doing that day and go join a protest at the local Petland.
And, together they motivated me to commit to DOING something – at least once a quarter – to make the world a better place for animals. Think we’re not influenced by your posts? Guess again!
On Friday I’ll be blogging on the GoPetFriendly Blog about the day I spent in Little Rock, Arkansas, helping at a vaccination clinic hosted by The Humane Society of Saline County. It was a great day – one I thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks for the push Karen and Mel!
Won’t you join us?

All Things Dog Blog will be here with our tail wagging and our swimming gear all ready. Can you guess what we’re going to be wagging our tongues about? A recent visit from a neighborhood pup almost took a life. Come read more about our excitement and the advice we will be sharing from our experience in lake and swimming-pool ridden Central Florida. Happy tails!
Carrie, I look forward to reading your advice!
My husband once placed a dog in a home with a pool. The dog, having never seen one, ran right off the deck and into the water, thankfully without much issue beyond a few splashes.
On another note, All Things Dog Blog is sponsoring an Easter Rabbit Adoptathon Blog Hop on Saturday, April 16. We’d love for you to join us with your rabbit adoption tips or adoptable rabbit highlights. Learn more here: http://www.allthingsdogblog.com/2011/04/easter-rabbit-adoptathon-blog-hop.html

Nice post! Y’know there are so many people who bemoan the animal injustices in the world…but who do nothing. They may not have the time to commit to working at a shelter, may not have the extra funds to donate to a cause….but i feel like writing a letter is something that most people could find the time and funds to do… great reminder of the importance of something so simple, something so easy.
Thanks!
