End Lethal Wolf Management

Wolf Killing - Kinship CircleThe Western gray wolf is now in the crossfire of state-sponsored killing. Why? Because a last minute rider attached to the federal budget bill removed them from the endangered species list last month.

Kinship Circle, a group advocating for non-lethal wolf management, is petitioning for a shift in public funding to support humane techniques. Won’t you lend your voice today to spare the cruel assassination of wolves in the wild?

Why It Matters

Once publication of the federal budget bill deleted the wolves’ federal safety net, Idaho and Montana announced plans to open wolf hunting season – in addition to considering other lethal wolf management techniques, such as gassing pups in dens, aerial hunting and trapping.

Kinship Circle is taking a stand against this act of Congress, asking government officials to revoke backdoor political maneuvering and restore a scientific approach to wolf management such as fencing, non-lethal repellents or scare devices and livestock carcass removal in conjunction with modified animal husbandry techniques. These have proven more capable than kill tactics in decreasing livestock damages.

Kinship Circle founder, Brenda Shoss emphasizes the importance of public response, “People themselves are the ultimate checks and balances, and must speak out in cases of violence against animals and misuse of power. The majority of citizens do not support taxpayer funded killing of wolves.”

Please stop the killings everyone. These animals are beautiful and deserve the right to live just like anyone does. Have a heart and leave them be in their habitat and do not hunt them or torture them. Treat them as you would want to be treated yourself.

After all the money & time spent to get them back on the road to recovery, now all of you people want to slaughter them.. How could you possibly in your right mind think that will work!!!!!!!!!! All you “politicans” & others have completely sold out to all the farmers & ranchers in the West…Such a horror & such a nightmare for these most majestic animals.. May each & every one of you responsible for this rot in hell or better yet, try to answer to the higher being (the one that created them) & see where you land….

  • Vickie Pinson says:

There are better ways to handle wolf management. How can you be so heartless! You treat them like they
are not living things. Hope you get treated just like you are proposing to do to them.

  • Not man’s best friend, more like a neighbor related to our best friend. We must be humane or not use our species name as a synonym for compassionate. So who’ll open the first no-kill wolf sanctuary?

  • Savannah Mick says:

Stop the killing!! How would you like it if it happened to you?

    Please help these blessed angels~
