WHY IT MATTERS
When inundated with sad news about animal tragedies on a daily basis, we can often feel overwhelmed and ineffectual. In order to overcome that feeling, it is exceedingly important to celebrate each triumph in the face of tragedy. These triumphs can be as grand as opening a shelter or as simple as sharing an online link to a homeless animal. Each is equally important to the life of every animal we impact in a positive manner. We can all do something, and that “something” is important.

People across the country and across demographics are more alike than we realize. I’m always interested to hear from someone what they believe is an important quality in another person, even if it is obvious. I like to uncover traits and characteristics that we all share, but might be demonstrated in someone we didn’t know before. Then voila, maybe my readers see that they too have what it takes to be great and to influence positively their environment.
