Project DOG
What do purebred, rescue, and mixed dogs have in common? Everything, of course!
Photographer Kira Stackhouse is on a mission to celebrate our love for all kinds of dogs. She plans to capture all 150+ AKC-registered dog breeds and their rescue counterparts – with mixes thrown in for good measure. Project DOG is seeking dogs from across the country to photograph for the blog and book. The search is open until a purebred and rescue dog of each AKC breed is found – so submit your dog today!

WHY IT MATTERS
The project promotes responsible breeding, an end to puppy mills, and the importance of rescue. According to Project DOG, “In a world where the culture of “dog” is becoming more politically charged than ever, Project DOG represents this evolving nature by bringing people together and illustrating the one similarity that all dog owners share – LOVE OF DOGS.”

Kayloo is a part of Project Dog! Woot!
Hoorah for Kayloo!
Kelly is too!
That’s awesome! Does Kelly wear her pretty bows in her picture?
This is a great project. Where and when will it be published?
Happy to share this on Facebook and Twitter.
I’m writing a children’s mystery series, filled with dog rescue, dog socialization scenes, positive training methods, and tales of re-home successes. My characters include mutts and purebred rescues. My blog, http://www.DogLeaderMysteries.com, will launch by January 30, 2011.
